Projects. Are. On. The. Go!
I’ve been neglecting the newsletter for the past few weeks. I’ve spent most of my time promoting the CKCU Presents Friday Night Folk. Which was yet another amazing, enchanting evening featuring James Leclaire and Libby & Cal.
I’ll be announcing the performers for the next edition of FNF soon so, keep your ears open!
I’ve also been busy with a newer-ish project: The Hard Folk podcast. On the latest episode, Carleton U. Prof. Kalle Mattson and I took a deep dive into the craft of songwriting. It’s available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon and a few other places.
Oh and stay tuned for next week’s episode featuring another professor and author: Pat Pattison. It was really inspiring to just sit and listen to his perspective and philosophy on songwriting.
Check out this seemingly tiny tidbit of advice he gave me about writer’s block:
That episode will drop Monday morning (Nov. 24th).
And finally, I think I’ve finally finished recording my new album. Just a few more finishing touches on the production end of things and then I’ll figure out when you’ll be able to give it a listen.
In the meantime, I’ve posted a couple live albums on my bandcamp and streaming sites, so definitely go check those out…
