Grateful Dude
Another busy week in the books! Off the top, I wanted to highlight a video I posted yesterday about gratitude.
Vacated Shapes is a solo album, however that doesn’t mean that I was alone while I worked on it. There were a bunch of folks helping me out, encouraging, motivating and inspiring me along the way. Thank you again to my family Krista, Leo & Beau, my friend and fellow musician James Leclaire, Jordan David, Anne-Marie Brugger, Susan Johnson, Chris White and everyone else at CKCU, Greg Beaudoin (aka Lefty McRighty), Steph & Larry at Meow! That's Hot, Mike Short, Jenica and the staff at Art House Cafe and finally the musicians, venues and concert goers that make up the vibrant Ottawa music community - we’re really lucky to have such a collaborative, diverse scene to call home.
Buzz
There were articles about Vacated Shapes in both the Centretown Buzz and on the Apt613 Blog.
I interviewed Rollie Pemberton (aka Cadence Weapon) and Mikhail Laxton on the Hard Folk Podcast:
Next week I’ll have a very special guest on the podcast: Me! James Leclaire took over hosting duties and interviewed me about my songwriting process, how I recorded Vacated Shapes, navigating social media, performing solo vs with a band, plus we took a bit of a dive into my family and how that affects my life as a songwriter.
The Hard Folk podcast is available on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon etc. visit this link to listen & follow.
