Being There
Plus: The Big Reveal and Blood Brothers
Being There
The message of Being There is quite simple: Your presence is enough.
There are times when you may not have the emotional or mental capacity to handle the weight of a situation, but just showing up - your physical presence can make the difference.
It could be in the form of a hug, a gentle touch or in the comfort of recognizing a familiar face amongst a crowd of strangers. Being there is what’s important.
Let’s make sure we’re being there for each other.
The Big Reveal
At my album release show next week(June 20th!), I’ll have a few special guests up on stage with me. So I figured, now would be a good time to give the big reveal…
My former Capital Grass and the No Men bandmates Mike Short & D’Arcy McGuire will join me on a couple songs, plus my brother Glen will be accompanying me on piano for a song or two. I have a feeling Libby Hortop will jump up on stage on one of her particular favourite songs of mine.

Blood Brothers
ICYMI, Sean Sisk and Jeff Larocque joined me on the Hard Folk Podcast this week.
Sean Sisk was dead. His heart stopped for 30 minutes. A case of Invasive Group A Strep had sent Sean to the hospital for 4 months, where his heart stopped 4 times and he needed multiple blood transfusions.
Jeff Larocque had donated blood 86 times before being diagnosed with prostate cancer. His goal was to donate blood at least 100 times, but unfortunately the cancer diagnosis prevented him from being able to donate.
After sitting down to breakfast they came up with the idea to organize a blood drive and have a little party afterwards. On June 17th, after you donate blood (visit blood.ca to schedule an appointment), Sean & Jeff are hosting a party at the Prescott featuring live local bands, prizes and more!
The Hard Folk podcast is available on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon etc.
